Ryan and I were on our way to work our Sunday morning shift at the library when he gets an unexpected call carrying the most bizarre news I've heard in a while. Apparently lightning struck the transformer the night before and caused a power outage at work. We pulled into the staff parking lot and got sent home immediately by a supervisor.

There was simply no other option and I knew very well where to go next. With no qualms whatsoever, I managed to drive all the way to Malibu for a spontaneous adventure. Everything was perfect on that overcast morning as I sat on a rock by the beach, warm coffee cup in hand. BEST. DAY. EVER.

I finally had a chance to check out Umami Burger and I ordered the Truffle burger. The verdict -- OVERRATED! Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad but that was NOT a $12 burger. I'd be happier and more satisfied (and maybe a few dollars richer) with a Pub burger from Red Robin.



Sunday night was spent for cosmic bowling - $2 games & $2 shoes at Harley's yeahhh!!! We also saw Sergio and it was hilarious cause he was acting kinda drunk and shit.

Went to Long Beach the next day to visit the aquarium. Oh my god I fell in love with all the different kinds of jellyfish, especially the moon jellies! They were soft to touch and mesmerizing to look at. I would love to keep one as a pet if only they weren't extremely high-maintenance creatures.
